Privacy Policy
Last updated September 9, 2026
This policy explains how Split Logic handles information when you visit our website, use our bowling management and statistics tools, or contact us. It also covers league records supplied by authorized administrators about bowlers who do not have accounts.
1. Information we collect
We collect information you provide, information entered by authorized league or center administrators, and technical information generated when you use Split Logic. You do not need an account for a league to maintain a bowling record about you.
Secretaries, centers, and other authorized users may provide your contact details, roster information, scores, and dues records. Score sheets can contain information about several bowlers. Administrators must have authority to provide information and give required notices and obtain required permissions. Split Logic retains its own responsibilities for handling that information.
Please provide accurate information and update it when it changes. Do not submit unrelated sensitive information, government identification documents, payment credentials, or information you lack authority to provide. Depending on the features you use, we collect:
- Account and contact information: names, email addresses, account identifiers, sign-in and verification records, age confirmation and terms acceptance records, and administrator password credentials where applicable.
- Optional profile information: birth year, sex, preferred bowling center, handedness, throwing style, ball motion, and bowling equipment you add to your profile.
- League and bowling records: rosters, team assignments, participation, scores, frames, pin leaves, averages, handicaps, standings, and statistics calculated from those records.
- Practice information: sessions, recorded throws and games, equipment selections, and statistics associated with your practice activity.
- Dues and payment records: amounts due, recorded payments, payment status, and related administration information. These features record payments; they do not collect or transfer funds or require payment-card or bank-account credentials.
- Uploads and communications: score sheets and the information extracted from them, support messages, and details supplied through our inquiry forms.
- Technical and usage information: IP addresses and server request logs, browser and device information, page visits, feature interactions, and performance or error information.
2. How we use information
We use information to provide the service, communicate with you, protect accounts and records, and improve the features you use. Where applicable law requires a legal basis, we process information on an applicable basis, such as providing an agreed service, complying with legal obligations, pursuing legitimate interests where permitted, or obtaining consent when required. We use information to:
- Create and authenticate accounts, link accounts to the appropriate bowler records, and manage access permissions.
- Operate leagues, maintain bowling and dues records, process score-sheet imports, and calculate results and statistics.
- Provide individual practice tracking and profile features.
- Send sign-in codes, respond to inquiries, provide support, and communicate service or policy changes.
- Find and correct errors, monitor performance, understand feature use, and improve the service.
- Protect accounts and records, investigate misuse, meet legal obligations, and resolve disputes.
3. Who can see information
Public league pages can display bowler names, team assignments, scores, standings, and bowling statistics. Information shown on public pages can be viewed by people without accounts. Administrative information is available according to the service’s access permissions. Do not assume every league record is private or that closing an account removes public historical results.
We use account permissions to restrict access to account management, individual practice records, and administrative tools. Authorized service administrators may access information as needed to operate the service, provide support, or address security and data-correction issues.
We use providers for website and application hosting, storage, email delivery, analytics, and performance monitoring. They process information needed to perform those functions. Our website uses Vercel Web Analytics and Speed Insights to help us understand usage and performance. Our pages also load fonts from Google, which receives the technical information needed to serve those requests.
We may disclose information when necessary to comply with law or valid legal requests, protect rights and safety, investigate misuse, or resolve disputes. Information may also be transferred as part of a merger, acquisition, financing, or transfer of the business, subject to applicable privacy requirements. We may disclose information at your direction or with your consent.
We do not sell personal information, share it for cross-context behavioral advertising, or use advertising pixels or targeted advertising. Providing information to a provider to operate the service is distinct from selling it or sharing it for targeted advertising.
4. Cookies, browser storage, and analytics
Split Logic uses cookies to keep you signed in. Browser storage also supports features such as unsaved scoring drafts and practice preferences. Clearing or blocking this storage can sign you out, remove local drafts, or prevent features from working.
We use Vercel Web Analytics and Speed Insights to measure page and feature usage and website performance. These tools are separate from the cookies used for account access. We do not use advertising cookies or advertising pixels.
You can manage cookies and stored site data in your browser. Privacy requests and questions about these tools can be sent to contact@splitlogic.app.
5. How long we keep information
Retention depends on the type of information and why it is needed. We consider active service use, legitimate league recordkeeping, legal requirements, security, and unresolved disputes. We do not promise indefinite storage.
Account and practice information supports your use of the service. You can request account closure or deletion by contacting us. Closing an account does not automatically erase a league’s historical scores, standings, rosters, or dues records. Those records may remain where appropriate and lawful to preserve accurate league history, including records about bowlers without accounts.
A valid privacy request may require deletion, correction, removal of an account link, anonymization, or restricted access. Historical recordkeeping does not override applicable privacy rights. Limited information may be retained for legal obligations, security, fraud prevention, or resolving disputes.
When information is no longer needed, we delete or anonymize it. Information in backups may remain until those backups are replaced or deleted; information awaiting deletion is restricted from further use except as needed for recovery, security, or legal obligations.
6. Protecting information
We use technical and organizational measures intended to protect information, including authenticated access and role-based permissions. No internet service or storage system can guarantee complete security.
Protect your email account and sign-in credentials, use only records you are authorized to access, and contact us promptly if you suspect unauthorized access or disclosure. Please do not send passwords, one-time passcodes, or unnecessary sensitive documents with a support or privacy request.
7. Adult accounts and youth bowling records
Accounts and account features are for people aged 18 or older. We do not permit a minor to create or use an account through parental consent as an exception to that rule.
Authorized adults may enter league records about youth bowlers. These records are different from a child creating an account or directly submitting information. Adults must have authority to provide the information and give any notices and obtain any permissions required by law. We remain responsible for our own handling of youth information.
If you believe a minor has created an account, or you have a concern about a youth bowler’s information, email contact@splitlogic.app. We will review the situation and take appropriate steps, which may include restricting access, correcting records, or deleting information as required by law.
8. Your choices and privacy rights
You can update available profile fields through your account and contact us about account closure, incorrect identity links, or privacy concerns. For a scoring or roster error, your secretary or center may be able to correct the underlying record. You may also contact us directly; contacting a league administrator is not a prerequisite to exercising a legal privacy right.
Depending on your location and the laws that apply, you may have rights to access information, receive a copy, correct inaccuracies, request deletion, restrict or object to processing, or withdraw consent. Withdrawing consent does not change the lawfulness of processing that occurred before withdrawal. Some information may still be retained or processed where another lawful basis applies.
These rights can be subject to legal exceptions and identity verification. We will explain if we cannot fulfill a request in whole or in part. We will not discriminate against you for exercising applicable privacy rights. You may also complain to your relevant privacy regulator.
9. Browser privacy signals
The service does not currently change its behavior in response to a browser’s Do Not Track setting. Do Not Track is distinct from legally recognized opt-out preference signals such as Global Privacy Control.
We do not sell personal information or share it for targeted advertising. This notice does not waive any obligation to honor a legally recognized opt-out signal where applicable. You may also contact us to exercise applicable opt-out rights.
10. Additional rights for US residents
Where a state privacy law applies to our processing of your information, your rights may include knowing whether we process it, accessing it, receiving a portable copy, correcting inaccuracies, and requesting deletion. You may also have rights to opt out of sales, targeted advertising, or profiling used for decisions with legal or similarly significant effects; limit certain uses of sensitive information; or withhold or withdraw consent where required.
Depending on applicable law, you may request information about categories of data, sources, purposes, and recipients, including lists of categories or specific third parties. Certain laws also provide rights to review, question, or correct profiling results. We will not unlawfully discriminate against you for exercising your rights.
The information described in Section 1 includes identifiers and contact details, optional demographic information such as sex and birth year, bowling and payment records, uploaded score sheets, internet or other electronic activity, and statistics derived from bowling records. We receive it from you, authorized administrators, and service interactions. Sections 2 and 3 explain its purposes and recipients; Section 5 explains retention. We do not sell it or share it for targeted advertising.
Send requests to contact@splitlogic.app. An authorized agent may submit a request where applicable law permits; we may ask for evidence of the agent’s authority and verify your identity as allowed by law.
If we deny a request, you may appeal by replying to our response or emailing contact@splitlogic.app and identifying the request you want reviewed. We will provide a response and reasons within the period required by applicable law. You may also complain to the relevant state attorney general or privacy regulator.
California residents may also request information about disclosures for third parties’ direct marketing under the California Shine the Light law where applicable. Send such requests to contact@splitlogic.app.
11. Changes to this policy
We will update the date on this page when we revise the policy. For material changes, we will provide notice or request consent when required by applicable law. Please review this page periodically for the current description of our practices.
12. Contact Split Logic
Email contact@splitlogic.app for privacy questions, concerns about a disclosure or account link, or requests about your information. Split Logic is the name under which we operate the service.
13. Submitting a privacy request
Tell us what you want to access, correct, or delete, and provide enough information to locate the relevant account or league record, such as your account email and league name. Please avoid sending more personal information than is needed.
We may ask for reasonable additional information to verify your identity or authority. We use that verification information to handle the request and prevent unauthorized access. We will respond within the time required by applicable law and explain any permitted extension or limitation.
